Steering Wheel
Insights into Mouse Visual Decision making
A specialized add-on module for our Virtual Reality systems, designed to enable precise investigation of visual decision-making in head-fixed mice through intuitive left or right turn choices.
The PhenoSys Steering Wheel is an innovative input device meticulously crafted as an add-on module for our established Virtual Reality (VR) setups. It is specifically designed to investigate complex visual decision-making processes in head-fixed mice.
The Steering Wheel’s rotational input is directly linked to the VR stimulus, offering clear and distinct left or right turn choices, enabling precise control over experimental paradigms focused on visual cues and cognitive responses.
An integrated reward system facilitates rapid learning and maintains high levels of motivation in the animal.
Key Benefits
Focused Design for Behavioral Precision
Left/Right Choice Paradigm: Optimized for binary visual decision-making experiments, providing clear and quantifiable behavioral outputs.
Direct VR Linkage: Input device rotation is directly linked to the VR stimulus, ensuring immediate and intuitive feedback for the animal.
Enhances Learning & Motivation: Facilitates operant conditioning by delivering rewards to reinforce correct choices and maintain animal engagement throughout long experiments.
Add-on Module: Designed to effortlessly integrate with existing PhenoSys Virtual Reality setups-JetBall & DoubleDisk
