PhenoSys IDsorter
Minimized Manual Intervention in Behavioral Diagnostics
RFID-based automated system that connects group-housed animals directly to test arenas, enabling precise individual experimentation for both mice and rats with minimal human intervention.
The PhenoSys IDsorter system simplifies and enhances individual behavioral testing for group-housed animals. The IDsorter eliminates manual handling of the animal by creating an automated link between the home cage and the experimental compartment.
At its core, the IDsorter utilizes robust RFID-technology (Radio-Frequency Identification) to precisely identify and track individual animals within a group.
Features
The IDsorter comes in two sizes

Key Benefits
Automated Individual Access
Eliminate Manual Handling: Connects the home cage directly to the test arena, automating animal transfer and drastically reducing human intervention.
Reduced Animal Stress: Minimizes handling-induced stress, promoting natural behavior and better experimental results.
24/7 Unattended Experimentation
Continuous Data Collection: Facilitates long-term operant procedures and observations around the clock, capturing comprehensive data.
High-Throughput Phenotyping: Enables efficient and scalable individual testing of large groups.
Robust & Animal-Friendly Design
Safe Gate Mechanisms: Features animal-friendly gates with position detectors to prevent accidental entrapment and ensure animal safety.
Broad Compatibility: Easily interfaces with operant systems, mazes, and video observation systems from PhenoSys or third-party vendors.
Applications
IDsorter finds application in a wide range of individual studies in group-housed mice and rats.

Well-Being Overview
Long term observation of the individual weight – monitoring of animal well being

Operant Conditioning
Implement standardized operant cognitive testing protocols for individual animals from a group setting.

High- Throughput Phenotyping
