IDrevolyzer
Transforming Voluntary Activity Tracking Through RFID Technology
Seamlessly combines multiple running wheels with animal-friendly group housing, providing accurate, individual activity data for mice while maintaining social interaction.
IDrevolyzer system enables assessing the individual conditions of mice through their voluntary running activity, addressing the critical need for behavioral data within a natural group-housed context. Traditional running wheel assays often isolate animals, impacting the ecological validity of results. The IDrevolyzer overcomes this by ingeniously combining multiple running wheels with animal-friendly group housing, enabling social interaction while still capturing individual performance.
Utilizing RFID technology, the system precisely identifies which animal is using a specific wheel at any given moment. This allows for the automatic assignment of parameters like total activity and maximum speed to individual mice.
Developed in close cooperation with Preclinics GmbH, Potsdam, it is designed as animal-friendly research tool.
Features
Up to 48 cages with running wheels in a single rack
Tube connections between cages for free movement across cages
RFID sensor at each running wheel for animal identification
Integrated data acquisition for wheel activity and ID

Key Benefits
Integrated Group Housing & Voluntary Activity
Animal-Friendly Environment: Combines running wheels with interconnected group cages, promoting natural social behaviors and reducing isolation stress.
Overcomes Traditional Limitations: Addresses the lack of group interaction often seen in single-housed running wheel assays.
Automated Individual Activity Tracking
Automatic Data Assignment: Parameters like total activity and maximum speed are automatically assigned to specific individuals.
24/7 Unattended Data Collection: Enables continuous monitoring without manual intervention, capturing comprehensive long-term data.
Modular & Scalable Design
High Capacity: Supports up to 48 cages with running wheels in a single rack, ideal for large cohort studies.
Interconnected Cages: Tube connections between cages allow free movement and exploration across the system.
Applications
IDrevolyzer assists researchers investigating a wide range of behavioral and physiological questions in mice.

Voluntary Activity Assessment
Quantify individual motivation for activity and exercise behavior in a group setting.

Behavioral Phenotyping
Characterize locomotor activity and endurance in various genetic or pharmacological models.

Disease Monitoring
Study changes in individual activity patterns as indicators of disease progression or treatment efficacy.
